Those familiar with India's long colonial history will know exactly what to expect at this restaurant. For the rest, think a vibrant mix of Indian and Portuguese food.
The great thing about Goan food is that there's nothing like it in the rest of the world. Stemming from the colonisation of a small portion of West India, it combines the Mediterranean flavours of Portuguese food with the subtle spice mixtures of Indian cuisine, all without falling into that horrible trap known as "fusion" food.
Goa-Doodle-Do is the only restaurant of its type around town and does a credible job of covering all bases, sporting a classic menu of Goan staples. Expect to see plenty of fresh seafood, coconut-based curries and vibrant chilli heat.

Date Night
We were met by the attentive staff who proclaimed that everything was available on the menu. Everything of course but our first choice of entree (the sardines were off) and main meal (they were out of vindaloo) How does a Indian resturant run out of vindaloo. Regardless we solidered on. I had the Chicken Cafreal which was quite good. 5 large pieces of chicken thigh beautifully cooked with some nice, if not a little oily sauce. It has a relaxed and care free atmosphere so I will be back..hopefully the sardines will be fresh and available....The Spaniard
