Boasting the world's longest Chesterfield sofa at a limb-unfolding length of eight metres, this Blue Mountains restaurant offers refined mod-Oz cuisine in an equally elegant setting. With a regularly updated menu based on local produce and an impressive wine list, the restaurant offers such entrees as salmon confit with pawpaw, mango and capsicum salad; and such mains as corn-fed duck breast served alongside hazelnut salad and rhubarb compote; or red spot whiting with rocket, grapefruit and prosciutto.
Desserts are equally varied and complex in flavour: from the ethereal lightness of rosewater meringue with pistachio ice cream and Persian fairy floss, the offerings slide down into the sticky depths of dark chocolate souffle pudding paired with almond praline and cream.
