Luke Mangan's sexy brasserie has everything you could want in a flash restaurant. There's the designer interior (Tony Chi), the high-profile celeb chef (Mangan, ex-Salt and Moorish), a great sommelier - no, better yet, a Master of Wine (Dr Ron Georgiou) - and heaps of cash gleaned from the hotel's $200 million reno-bucks. If you wanted more buzz, you'd have to hire Paris Hilton as hostess. It's all set amid an open kitchen, lavish crustacean bar, rare but welcome chef's table, 30 metre-long wall of wine and a sprawling dining room. Start off with rabbit rillettes, then dig into daring mains like the spiced pork loin with braised trotter and ham hock.

Not Quite Nigella - "I love business lunches. I also love it when my colleagues don’t care when I whip out a camera and act like a complete tourist in one of Sydney’s chicest restaurant."

Amazing flavours
The flavours in my sashimi entree were just astonishing. Each of the tiny dishes tasting entirely different. Fantastic. I followed it up with a totally impressive steak tartare (must've been in a raw mood). The tartare dish had the unusual twist of having anchovy mixed in. Delicious. Amazing. You pay for it, but it's worth it.

Great looks but no essence.
This restaurant looks amazing inside and out. The atmosphere, setting and service is delivered at the highest level. The food however, was average and borderline disappointing. We had the degustation menu and there was nothing "different" or "outstanding" about the food.
