Real Italian?
Very competitive prices, maybe the only positive I can come up with after my dinner at Giovanni's. I chose the Tortellini Boscaiola, which turned out to be store bought Tortellini with a store bought Carbonara-esque sauce, I must note the sauce was "boosted" by a handful of shredded ham and fresh sliced mushroom. Don't get me wrong, it was a nice meal however it was a meal I could have thrown together myself in 10 minutes after a night at the pub. My partner chose Siciliana Risotto. I tried the Risotto, in a word "sloppy". My partners' view was a little more in depth, I quote "the pre-cooked jasmine rice was over cooked and bland, the canned tomato sauce was equally bland. Very disappointed". One further thing, my partner being the driver wanted only a glass of water with dinner, we were told a glass of water is not available - he was offered a $3 bottled alternate. I am not ruling out trying the pizza another time but I am fearing a re-heated "mama giuseppe".

Poor
My garlic bread and hot chocolate had hardly any taste. My tortellini boscaiola was quite salty. The service was fast but I was the only one there for lunch at that time. From what I ate, not recommended. So my spelling isn't great, is that a big deal? Can management take any criticism at all? As you can see, I've reviewed over 100 places so I'm not someone here just to put in a bad review just for the sake of it!!

Grandad
Down to earth friendliness and service, no frills and a bit rustic but the chicken/mushroom paella is fabulous as is the rest of the menu. Could not fault any of the food and this place is well worth a visit. Try the home made gelato and the gelato mixed coffee.

A touch of Italy
Great food, friendly service and fantastic value as well. Best pizza we've had for ages, and the pastas reminded us of our time in Italy, not drowned in a bowl of cream as you see in most places these days. A true touch of Italy in this place, will be back often.
