A relative newcomer to Melbourne's already bursting-at-the-seams Little Bourke Street dining hotspot, this Japanese restaurant offers traditional teppanyaki, with lobster, seafood, steak, chicken and vegetables all cooked by your own personal chef at your table. Besides the barbeque there's also sushi, sashimi and yakitori on offer, and a well-stocked bar offering wine, beer, sake and cocktails. With an informal, relaxed vibe and traditional decor, this has become a popular midweek lunch and weekend dinner spot.

Ginza - never again
Ginza was disappointing. I organised the private room, which I paid a premium for, for my sister's Hens. The room was less than private. The wait staff were polite and the food was enjoyable but the chef was only a little entertaining. Most disappointingly we experienced considerable bullying at the end of the night. While we had asked staff to allow time for us to play Hen's games this was not obliged and when we attempted to play typical non-sexual non-damaging Hens games they bullied us out of the room! The head wait staff were rude and pushy. I would NOT recommend this restaurant!

First Experience at Ginza
Initially somewhat hesitant, having read a negative review regarding this restaurant and not having attended before, thought we would give it a try anyway with pleasant results.
We were seated immediately, as a couple, on arrival and served appetizers and wine whilst awaiting other guests to join our table. Our chef was initially quiet but came out of his shell once the food started to sizzle.
Were joined by a young family and had a ball. Alex, our chef, made the whole experience enjoyable. The food was great tasting (especially the huge prawns) and was a substantial feed.
Would recommend this restaurant for a great teppanyaki experience. Will be back.

A trick gone wrong
My extended family had dinner on a Friday night. Unfortunately the chef's exhibition of egg chopping and throwing ended with the hot egg on my brother-in-law glass that stuck on the inside of the lens thus burning his eye lid. More disappointing was the owner's refusal to acknowledge the issue. Owned and run by Chinese restaurateurs it lacks Japanese tradition and atmosphere.
