The chairs are well-worn and the dishes are simple, but that all adds up to a comfortable experience at Gino's. Enjoy an enormous bowl of spaghetti carbonara and reflect on the joys of simple dining.

Simply awful!
We had a meal - although calling it a meal is probably a joke - at Gino's. Since they claim to serve traditional Italian food I decided on the Saltimbocca and it was probably close to the worst meal I have ever had in my entire life. Nothing "jumped in my mouth" as the dish is supposed to do. The meat was covered in tomato sauce (?) and topped with some sort of shredded mass produced ham which tasted disgusting! Where was the prosciutto? What's with the tomato sauce? My wife ordered a Calzone pizza which was also served in a soup of that same awful tomato sauce? The kids ravioli looked like it was served straight from the tin! To top it all off the meals are pretty pricey too, drinks are also pretty expensive with local beer and wine around $7 a glass! Calling this Italian food is simply sacrilege!!

Disappointed!
I was really looking forward to some traditional Italian fare & a nice meal on a Saturday evening....what we got was so much less. I was disappointed with the quality of food (I can cook better & tastier Italian dishes at home) and the service was pretty shocking. We felt ignored by the staff, we were not seated, rather they pointed to a table... and after a ridiculous amount of time after we had finished our mains, we had to find a waitress to ask for a dessert menu. I will not be recommending this place to anyone!

Up for Italian!
I have eaten at Gino's many times and I have never been disappointed and think the food is priced at a great value. My favorites include the closed special pizza and involtini and scallopini pizziola these are just a few of the delicious finds at Gino's.

How do these places stay open?
I have fond memories of dining at Gino's as a child so I was very disappointed to return and be highly unimpressed with the poor quality meals dished up. Con ordered a pasta "alfredo" that was so flavourless we believed it was simply spaghetti in cream with no seasoning whatsoever. SO ordered the veal schnitzel and salad... was served a MASSIVE piece of crumbed veal and a token salad on the side. Really could have been a bit more adventurous for the price. Speaking of price, there was a very poor quality to $$ ratio at Gino's. Cheerful, maybe, cheap it ain't.
