Offering a hearty mix of Aussie pub grub and Irish fare (which essentially just means a couple of Irish staples have been hastily inserted into the menu), this friendly Irish pub franchise has snared a respectable following with their popular value-for-money steakhouses.
Meals are a little on the heavy side; to give you an idea, dishes such as the chilli beef nachos and deluxe bacon and cheese burger come under "Light Bites", while mains cover mouth-wateringly wintery options which include creamy pastas, braised meats in rich sauces and battered, fried seafood. The modest salad selection balances out with dressings too tasty to be good for you and beer- and wine-match recommendations.
Of course, the steaks are the specialty here. Premium aged cuts are chargrilled to ensure maximum tenderness, with a variety of sides, toppers and sauces to choose from. The rib fillet, at 250g, is the smallest of the bunch, though if you're feeling ravenous then perhaps you should take on the giant rump challenge: a 500g prime rump of epic proportions that would intimidate even the biggest eaters.
