In the hub of George Street, this East Freo eatery is fast gaining a reputation for its warm-hearted Southern European, and mostly Italian, cuisine. Bruschetta, spaghettini, risotto, calamari, foccacia - these are just some of the simple and hearty tastes on offer at Gigi's on George. The rustic theme permeates the space too, which is an old house that's been revamped just to the point where the old-style charm is still intact. If you're just dropping in for a cocktail or beer, the tapas menu is the way to go for a quick nibble or two.
