Ideal for diners who like their meals hearty and generous, this authentic Balkan eatery serves a variety of traditional dishes, from homemade borek and baklava to cevapcici (skinless Yugoslavian sausages). The warm interior furnished with browns, off-white and cream also makes it a hub for casual diners and spirited families. The most popular item on the menu is the Yugoslavian filo pastry, which is available in four varieties, such as spinach and cheese, mincemeat and shredded onion, and pumpkin and potato. The minced meat schnitzel is also a favourite and is served with chunky bread, salad and a savoury homemade sauce. Modestly priced and generous, this restaurant is best enjoyed when feeling ravenous.

Dinner for six....
The place is great and we were delighted with the food and the service. In fact we are returning with my father and our daughter, so that we can have another fantastic meal. It was absolutely wonderful. Meat dishes were superb. Vege dishes were excellent. Desserts were the least enjoyable- and they were great. I ate so much I was full all day Sunday!! Loved it!

Diner Time At Giannis Restaurant Perth
Wow, something different And when I say something different, I mean Good. My wife and I felt like going out for dinner that night and decided to search the internet for a restaurant that is little different. Google came up with few restaurants which didn t look to exciting. Then a website came up. Gianni s Balkan Cuisine It looked very good and the food sounded interesting so we decided to try it. When we arrived there we were greeted nicely by a lady working there. The restaurant was busy but she managed to find us a table within 5minutes. We decided to try few different things, so we ordered cheese, meat and spinach pita. We ate that and decided to order seconds. Pita again.. It was very good, meat pita was my favourite and my wife decided that the cheese was hers. We had a nice bottle of wine and before we left we asked for some more pita .. take away. I know embarrassing, it was really tasty though.
Looking forward to next Saturday. Have a table booked already. Their menu is so interesting and different. My goal is to try it all. While we were there some people were ordering gourmet pizza which looked yummy as well. Their website is http://www.giannisbalkancousine.com/ and the menu can be found there.
This could easily become my faw. restaurant
