George Street Bistro feels comfortable, vibrant and cheery, largely thanks to the bright shades of red, yellow and orange splashed across the walls, banquettes and in the artworks. This relaxed, stylish ambience is matched by chef Soren Koberstein's German-influenced food. Koberstein's dishes are carefully considered and beautifully presented, while still being accessible, hearty and generous. The food, like the restaurant space, is funky without pretension.

A nice place for brunch/lunch/dinner - AKA the long lunch.
A Hot Summer Day Sunday lunch beginning at brunch and heading into the early afternoon. The George Street Bistro always comes up with the goods. The changing menu keeps up with the seasonal fare that Perth still has in abundance. A well thought out wine list makes and a groups of very helpful and smiling staff make it a wonderful experience.
It does not seem to matter what we chose off the menu, the plates were full of flavour and showed a care and respect for the ingredients that you only see in traditional home kitchens.
The plates are well presented but what jumps out at the eater is the radiance of freshness of each of the components on the plate.

Fine food, super service!
Beautiful food lovingly prepared. A family business and the attention very warm and professional. The service so attentive; repeated offers by more than one waiter! A small restaurant, clearly audible conversations from adjoining tables. Quite a limited choice of dishes but truly outstanding quality & presentation of the cuisine. Could make this a regular favourite.

great place.
Have been to the bistro several times now and it is always been good. The service is fantastic and the really tall waiter has served us several times and he really knows his stuff. The food is wonderful and generally the serves are generous. The art on the walls and the music make the atmosphere really warm and welcoming. The place is always full for dinner so it can be noisy, but thats part of its charm.
