This sibling of the well-known Chatswood stalwart has moved from the depths of the CBD to its current high-profile King Street Wharf address. In keeping with the waterside location, the decor has been poshed up, yet still retains the casual accessibility expected by regulars of the previous incarnation. There are warm, mustard-coloured walls and long, funky rectangular lampshades suspended over diners' heads, while several stern-looking statues stand guard over the space, adding a traditional touch. Flash decor aside, the new Genghis offers the same crowd-pleasing Mongolian barbecue. Choose your own ingredients from the range of meats, vegies and sauces (and your levels of garlic and chilli - a double-dare waiting to happen) and pass it on to the chef, who will toss it on the circular barbie and cook it in a visually spectacular display of fire and steam. For a bargain price, diners can indulge in an all-you-can-eat extravaganza, including entrees, soup and salad.
All you can eat Mongolian barbecue (including entrees, soup and salad): lunch $19.90, dinner $25.80

Terrible!
I had dinner here tonight and it was really average. The selection of vegetables was strange (no brocolli or mushrooms but lots of tomato) and it didn't really work. I didn't think it was value for money.

The Best
I just love this place and i am a fussy eater. I have never been there with anyone who didn't like it. I live about 500km from Sydney and if I don't get there for work every couple of months I start to crave and end up making a trip just to eat there.

What a fantastic, fun way to dine! I took a bunch of fussy eaters there and it was great, because you all get to pick exactly what goes into your meal yourself. Really fun to watch the chefs cook it all up before your eyes too. Definitely would go back again.
