Gelatino
Despite the rapid growth this home-grown, family business has undergone in recent years (with outlets now including Rottnest Island, Margaret River and Westfield Whitfords), Carmelo Messina, a fourth-generation gelato maker from Sicily, still makes all Gelatino's gelati by hand in north Perth. The prize-winning flavours and top picks include banana, coconut, nougat and caramel, as well as sorbets in flavours like mango, green apple and a pretty wicked, refreshing blood orange.
