Argentineans aren't shy about their meat and favour portion sizes on the generous side of huge. Gaucho's is very much true to Argentinean form, serving massive hunks of flesh, fit for a South American cowboy. Even the standard steaks are butchered and aged on-site and chargrilled in authentic style with their house-made chimichurri sauce. Alternatively, delve into meat of an even higher pedigree on the 'reserve list'. So as not to be discriminatory, various other meats such as pork and duck feature on the menu and even seafood gets a look-in. There are also surprisingly intricate entrees for the delicate diner, such as blue swimmer crab-stuffed capsicum or a duck liver tart.

Best Steak in Australia
I travel a lot for work, and whenever I come to Adelaide I do my best to make it to Gaucho's as it is simply the best steak in Australia, with a great wine list as well. This time we did have the Oysters Diablo as well as a steak, which was pretty amazing. Always good service, the house made Chimichurra sauce is great and they know what to do with a cow. A highlight!
