The customer is never right!
We had the misfortune of dining at the Full Moon Hotel today. I ordered the wyagu beef pie with coleslaw and green salad. While I found the pie to be fine, the coleslaw smelt old and tasted off. I suspect it was left over from Christmas. All three adults that I was with (one being a chef himself) agreed with me and warned me not to eat any more of it. I asked the waiter if he knew when the coleslaw was made. He took it into the kitchen. He returned saying that the chef thinks it is all right and do I want some more coleslaw? Later a diner at a table behind us was served the same meal with very different, and extremely fresh looking coleslaw. Unfortunately the service was not that great either. We walked around looking for someone to take our order for cofee. When we found someone, I was made to feel like an inconvenience. I have never complained about a meal before, but when paying relatively high prices I would like my food to be fresh.

Being a middle aged man and having travelled the world I've had my fair share of good and bad steaks! I took my wife to the full moon in August 2008 for a steak dinner. My wife chose a tender fillet while I thought I'd go for a nice rump. What rubbish we were served. The fillet put simply was a lump of rubber with a touch of meat flavouring thrown in for taste. The rump was a litle better but still terrible for a steak. God knows why we didn't complain. The meat was accompanied by roast vegetables which again were terrible. How difficult is it o cook simple veg?

Average food and overpriced but great spot
The Full Moon is in a great position on top of the cliff overlooking the bay. The service is pretty good and it's very child friendly. It's a real shame that the food is average and really over priced.
