VERY RUDE WAITER!
My husband and I sat outside at a table for around 5 or so minutes when the table next to us - all got up and left. They had had menus on the table but from what I could tell - were getting zero service. As they were leaving, the rude waiter sarcastically yelled, "Sorry" at them and then again rudely, "BYE!" He then waited another couple of minutes to ask if we were having lunch. In which - we replied that we would just like some coffee or perhaps maybe a menu - when he quickly stated "We are not a cafe. You need to go somewhere else that way." As I sat in shock, mostly by his prior behavior to the other group that left, then at how rude he was to us, AND THEN I LOOKED AT THE TABLE DIRECTLY ACROSS FROM US WHERE 2 WOMEN SAT CLEARLY ONLY DRINKING COFFEE! I will never go back to this place based solely on the fact that I've never been treated so rudely by any wait staff.

Disappointed.....
A friend and I both ordered the fish and chips from the blackboard. While the salad and chips were fine and the meal was well presented, the quantity of fish was very poor - two very small pieces and, without the batter, little flesh there. It left a bad taste in our mouths. The fish would have barely made it as an entree. Disappointing really since staff are capable and attentive and the ambience is good. We probably won't return.

Great Night Out
My husband and I and usually some friends of ours go to Fuel for dinner on most Saturday nights. We go out to dinner quite regularly and are particular in out choices. We have been to many resstaurants with our friends but always seem to go back to Fuel Cafe. We keep saying that we will try another restaurant but always end up making a booking at Fuel. The service is wonderful and the staff are friendly and quirky. We get seated immediately after entering the restaurant and they put our wine on ice immediately. We always ask for a specif table and they never fail to please. The food is delicious and reasonably priced and the atmosphere is vibrant. Staff are always asking us if everything is OK and offering desserts and coffee. We are very happy when we leave there.

Don't bother making a booking...
I'd love to be able to give a review about Fuel restaurant but cannot. I did the right thing, I made a booking for Valentines day, I know how hard it can be to get into a restaurant... Fuel to their credit, rang me the day before to confirm my booking. So me and the hubby rock up to enjoy our Valentines dinner only to find that they don't have our booking for some mysterious reason. We are not on their reservation list. To rub salt into the wound, they treated us like stupid customers who hadn't made a reservation. Not impressed. Fuel - you need a reservation system that actually works. You ruined my Valentines Day.
