Like it's former sister in Rosalie, Freestyle Tout in Fortitude Valley is bursting with colour. Silky red cushions line the benches against the concrete walls and flowers bloom from stainless steel pots. The food is also a rainbow of flavour and freshness. Desserts are still the standout feature but the rest of the menu should not be disregarded.

Service? What Service??
I've always loved freestyle for its deserts. Bu the many recent times I've been the service has been appalling. We waited for ages for someone to take our order. Tried to get their attention many times and they still kept standing there talking to one another. Water didn't come till when we got their attention to order. Not only that ther wasn't hardly anyone in the restaurant as well. There was no reason for them to have such bad service. I must stress really bad service. But the deserts are awesome. I was soo bad that I actually bothered to sign up and have a winge about it.

Disappointing desserts for a dessert-only restaurant
We had to line up to be seated, which was ok, because they had blankets to keep warm. When we were seated, we asked for water, however had to remind the waitress after 15 minutes. The desserts took about 20 minutes to arrive. We ordered a variety of things - cheesecake, chocolate fudge with chocolate sause, a 'deluxe' sundae, apple and rhubarb crumble. All pronounced them about average, which was disappointing for a dessert-only restaurant, at $13.50 per dessert.
