Popular amongst expats from the embassy, this Mexican eatery makes all its salsas in-house and serves a good range of traditional fare, including enchiladas and burritos.

Avoid this place like the plague!
The group of 4 of us arrived just before 7pm and ordered a jug of strawberry dacquiri. The drinks returned extremely quickly and then we realised it was pre-made in a slurpee machine.

Our order was take - 2 starters and 3 mains to share. 1 starter arrived, dip and corn chips, within 15 minutes. It was cleared away shortly after when we had NOT finished. About 10 minutes later my partner enquired where the bathrooms we and was told to sit down and someone would bring him the key. Around 10 more minutes and he asked another wait person and was given the key. Around 7.40pm we asked would our mains be much longer as 2 other tables who came in after us had been served. We we told not much longer, a few minutes. At 8pm we asked again where our mains were and they arrived about 10 minutes after that.

The second starter came out with the mains. The mains were awful.

The corn chips on the nachos were burnt. On the combination plates the rice was dried out - think over nuked in the microwave, the tostada that was meant to be chicken had a dry flavourless bean paste spread on it and all that we could taste was mayonaise and the enchilada was a soggy lump of bright green sludge.

When the wait person asked how the meals were I told him what I thought and that I was extremely disgusted that I had waited over an hour for food that may as well have come from a packet at Coles. When we paid the staff there tried to charge us more than $20 for 2 beers. My husband questioned this and was met with a very rude "because YOU had 4" his repsonse of "No, only 2 the bottles are still on the table" didn't receive an apology but rather the lady behind the bar trying to blame someone else for the double up.

There is no way I will return to this place. The kitchen staff were not even in uniform. The bar staff are rude. When I expressed my displeasure the wait person did not offer to get the manager/chef he simply said he will pass my comments on - yeah right!

Awesome food
Great Mexican food, great service, just have to compromise with the setting. Nothing really wrong with the setting but the layout is bit awkward. Overall, some of the best Mexican food in ages.
