Great way to start a day
Had a great breakfast here one saturday morning.
Very friendly and attentive staff.
I ordered eggs and bacon on sourdough and was not disappointed. My partner order the Buttermilk Pancakes at the waitresses recommendation and could not stop raving about them.
We were the only customers for the majority of our time their, which could explain the attentive service. But will be heading back very shortly for Lunch and Dinner.
An Utter Delight!

Business lunch at Fog, just great
I had a business lunch at Fog last friday. The service was great, everyone of the staff were pleasant, smiled, and the place seemed to flow from one person to the next.
Great tasting food and not pretencious. Open and bright space which made it good for our conversation as well as feeling the warm air.

Great Food... but not quite right on Saturday night
Dinner for two on a Saturday night at a decent restaurant. Sounds like a lovely idea... and so it should be.
Fog is a nice place. The staff are friendly, although a bit like the staff at McDonalds are friendly; it's a bit formulaic.

We arrived a little early for our booking and so were sent off to the bar, where we were left... until we reminded the maitre de some time later that we were still waiting to be seated. Once seated, the waitress totally ignored us for about 15 minutes. Possibly she was confused by the presence of our drinks from the bar. But I'm being too kind. End result was our entrees arrived about one hour after our arrival.

And who made up the rule that bread should only be on the table during entrees? An affectation of try-hards I would suggest. I received a look of DEATH from the waitress when I asked for more bread with my main course, even though it was a seafood stew/soup.

The food itself was great; but we were so annoyed by the poor service albeit friendly, and our being seated immediately adjacent to a party of about 16 people that we really could enjoy the culinary experience and were happy to leave.

Having said all that, I'd go back... on a quiet night.

delicious food, fantastic service, a special night out
I made a booking for two on saturday for that night. The bar girl was very helpful with such a tastey cocktail list. I had a yummy expresso martini before dinner and my friend had a passion fruit caprioska.

Our waiter was lovely, very attentive and knew the menu well. We were given bread to start and shared the spicy squid. They had run out of rump but i had salmon instead and we got a side of beans. The chocolate dessert was to die for. I would eat everything on the the dessert menu.

The atmosphere was good with several people celebrating that night. Outside is a fire and outdoor seating and there is a back cocktail room as well. My friend from overseas was impressed with Fog.
