This warm little tapas and wine bar is set in a quiet pocket of the CBD that has attracted some serious foodies and restaurateurs of late, in an 1890s building full of character and, more often than not, cheerful locals. The tapas here are the real deal, and much more authentic than the entree-sized meals billed as tapas at many trendy city bars of late. Dishes like the classic potato tortilla and the baby octopus with toasted almonds and roasted garlic let you know this place is all about traditional, no-fuss tapas, in case the red and dark wood, Spanish-style interior didn't tip you off. The wine list is eclectic and fun, with local Adelaide Hills and Padthaway whites mixing with reds from Spain, Corsica and the Hunter Valley. Reasonably priced wine flights are a great way to enjoy a different drink with a different tapas, in true Spanish style.
