Under new ownership
I used to love this place. Fantastic breakfast foods and of course, the coffees. Then the owners changed hands. The place is ruined! The food is OK but considering how good it used to be, you can't justify a return if you were a loyal customer before. So sad...

Food surpasses all expectations.
Do not be put off by the business-like, and often surly, service. Flavours of Lakhoum is always extremely busy, and it is obvious people come for the food and the not the service. The atmosphere is good, but can lack a bit when you are crammed onto a table only big enough for 2 when there is a group of 4 or 5 of you.
Once seated, and as comfortable as you can get with your food ordered, you can relax with one of the best coffees in Melbourne - and the most asthetically pleasing! Make sure you sample their delcious salads, their signature zucchini pancake, and their beautiful homous. I promise you'll be back for more. I only wish they were open for dinner.
