Fishermans Wharf Tavern is one of those fantastic venues that prove you shouldn't have to pay for the view in the price of your meal. Overlooking the Gold Coast Broadwater, the Tav manages to offer spectacular views and budget-friendly meals at the same time. The menu ranges from pastas, risottos and curry beef pies to seafood and steak, all without breaking the bank.
Be warned: With a cold drink in your hand, the sun shining overhead and a tasty meal in your belly, you might find the hours slipping away rapidly with no end in sight. It may cost you an afternoon or more, but it definitely won't cost you an arm and a leg.

FIshy lunch
Thought that this would be shabby chic and have a good feel, but the menu options were rather tired and unimagiative. Entrees were very quick. While the quality of the food was good, the fish was very oily(crusty barra??) and other dishes were luke warm. The steaks were good and cooked as we requested. I would go back again, but possibly only to eat 'meat'
