Lovely Dinner
Fantastic service and amazing food, the morton bay bugs were delicious. In a party of 8 we all loved every minute of our dining experience. As with most beautiful seafood restaurants you pay that bit more but it was worth it.

Disgusting
What do they think I am, a rabbit? Give me more food on my damn plate, I came for a meal, not a bloody snack! And thanks to the rude waitress that ignored me whenever I needed something. Had to wait 10 minutes to be seated, totally wasn't worth it. First impressions made out that the restaurant was of high quality. The flashy atmosphere was a big charade to make up for the terrible meals. I left still hungry. Next time I'll go somewhere with a bit more substance.

A very bad experience
Dined here with my mother and fiancee. We had snapper (2x) and bouillabaisse. The bouillabaisse was OKish, the snapper - if it was snapper after all - was very dry and tasted old and muddy. The salad and vegetables that came with the meal were brown, even complimentary chips were soggy and undercooked. We were very disappointed with the quality of our food. The only positive side was our very attentive waiter. We will definitely not go back and we won't recommend this place to our friends.

Shocking
When we arrived for our expensive new year dinner we were greeted with absolutely no respect. It was assumed that I did not make a reservation. Finally we got seated down after waiting about 10 mins. It took about 30 mins until our menus arrived and that is when we repeatedly asked for it. The menu was written poorly which lead to a lot of confusion. We asked the waitress and she seemed clueless as well. When our food finally arrived - our table was missing about four chips and salad. We told the waiters at least four - five times over about an hr and a half. They told us they had run out. In the end, we only got two salads and chips which smelt like they were from a fish and chips shop.
They never cleared our table after our main meal - so we had to eat our dessert with dirty plates and took them about 10 mins to bring some cutlery so we could eat our desserts. We ordered coffee and hot chocolates - we never received them and ended up cancelling because it took so long.
This resturant was truly the worst. I do not recommend anyone eating there as their service was very bad. It ruined my last dinner in 2008 but the fireworks were beautiful.

Service OK, food poor
Dined here recently with my brother. Service was very attentive despite a restaurant full of conference participants. The shared seafood platter we had for entree was OK with the oysters being the standout. Mains were disappointing - my brother ordered whiting & received a very small fresh whiting (whole) along with a fillet of something else -definitely not whiting - looked like blue grenadier to me. Questioned the waiter who said it was whiting - I'm not convinced at all.
I had the grilled Moreton Bay bugs which were ordinary - already cooked (boiled) bugs scorched over the grill - dry and pretty much tasteless. Dessert and coffee were OK.

I'm still fuming
We were seated in a very quiet restaurant, yet it still managed to take them 20 minutes to get to our first drink order and another 10 minutes after that to realise we didn't have our menus.
We had to chase service ALL NIGHT from EVERYONE even though by halfway through our meal we were only one of TWO tables left. Staff stood around in groups chatting, and while it took three waiters to reset a nearby table, no one had taken our dirty plates away.
Food (when it eventually came) was average. A friend had water spilled all over her. When we were given the menu, we were informed that they had run out of "practically everything"...

It was badddd
We arrived and got seated. 1st course came and it was lovely. We had great expectations for mains and then we waited 1.5 hours for the main meal to come and when it came after much complaining it was cold and dry. We left only paying for drinks. None of the waiters made eye contact so they could avoid our complaints and other tables were complaining about the wait too. A truly bad experience.
