Simply the fishiest feast you're bound to find in Northbridge, Fish Monger (previously Fishy Affair) is the latest seafood restaurant to swim its way onto James Street. The Fish Monger approach is refreshingly straightforward: infuse the meals with the best fresh Western Australian produce, from cod to crayfish to tiger prawns to mussels.
There's much flavour to be savoured in the beer-battered and crispy-skin fish dishes, as well as the more Mediterranean-inflected Spanish paella and seafood risotto and the Asian-style blue swimmer crab rolls. If you're planning a lunchtime pig-out, Fish Monger has cheap specials to cater to the lunchtime rush...or shall we call it a 'wave'?
