Fish Bar

A bit more swish than your average chipper, Fish Bar serves up high-grade versions of that Aussie favourite, fish and chips, in the sparkling setting of Docklands. The tiny space is actually suspended over the water, offering up-close-and-personal water views from the covered seats out front. The menu acknowledges the classics with battered flake and chips, but also delves into barramundi, scallops and more. There are even grilled versions served with salad for the health-conscious.

Mediocre
Dined here on one of our recent oppressively hot nights with my wife and son.

All had fish and chips and we shared a large greek salad. Chips were excellent - nice and crisp, the fish was of the frozen variety and pretty tasteless. The salad was very limp, tastless and is the first greek salad I have had without olives.

Service was friendly enough but was not well thought through with the waiter yelling out our docket number despite us being the only people there (?)

For those dining in I think Fish Bar should offer metal cutlery instead of the cheap plastic bendy ones.

Overall a very nice location but better fish and chips elsewhere.

Where else?
I come here often & I love fish & chips. Probably the best in Melbourne. Well the best in Docklands of course. I'll be back. Delicious!
