At last! Lane Cove can now welcome a trendy tapas and wine bar to its rapidly growing cafe and restaurant scene. Following in the stylish footsteps of the immensely popular Firefly venues of Walsh Bay and Neutral Bay, Firefly Lodge Lane Cove is on track to repeat this success in the newly opened Lane Cove Marketplace. The space is appropriately warm and breezy, what with its earthy, mahogany-infused fit-out and open windows that lead out onto the buzzing Lane Cove Plaza.
Meanwhile, the menu offers plenty of food for thought and wine for philosophising (as long as your friends don't mind listening to your diatribes ... but it's over good food and wine so who cares?). While all-day tapas bites like duck liver pate, seared scallops and zucchini fries are delightful for sharing, Firefly also offers brunch, brekkie, lunch, pizza and dinner bistro fare for those who prefer to keep a lamb burger or pan-fried blue-eyed cod all to themselves.

Best pizza!!
We have been here a number of times and I am always happy with the pizzas! They are a very generous size and just delicious! I have also had a number of other things but the highlights are the salt and pepper squid (melts in your mouth) and the zucchini fries. The place has a very relaxed feel and one of my fav places to go in Lane Cove for brunch and lunch with friends. I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful.

Love This Place!
Wow does lane cove need more places like this, Great pizza , awesome coffee, funky feel - wait staff can be fuzzy on orders but it has added some life to what has been a fairly 'pedestrian' mall......

Firefly
I liked this place for my regular coffee until I recently went in with my well behaved child who was munching on a snack I had bought earlier. We were asked to put it away or eat it off the premises. Our only intention was to have coffee and a babycino. I decided that the manager was so rude and uninterested when I approached him about this that I cancelled my order and left to find coffee with better service elswhere. We were welcomed, snack in hand at a nearby cafe.

Firefly Lodge Lane Cove
This newly opened cafe/bar seemed to be the perfect spot to meet a friend for a brunch catch-up during the holidays. What a disappointment. We sat down at a dirty table and faced a long wait for service. Several basic menu items had run out (fruit toast, marmalade)and it took over half an hour for our very ordinary coffees to be delivered, one by one, long after our food had arrived - and that none too speedily. The scrambled eggs were passable; the toast not properly toasted on one side. Not a single apology was offered for the lack of food or service. Perhaps this is an okay place for a drink; for morning tea and brunch I'll be giving it a miss.
