Since 1987, this bakery has been producing some of the finest breads, pizzas and pies this side of Port Philip Bay. The secret to Firebrand's success is their traditional approach - all their breads are made from scratch via the same leaven that was used in the mid-'70s. This rich, cultured starter produces light ryes, salty sourdoughs, olive loaves and kamut (Egyptian wheat) breads. They rank among the very best in Melbourne's artisan bakery scene.
