The delicious pastries and breads just keep getting pulled out of the oven all day - so there'll always be something hot to have with your coffee. Try a herb and cheese brioche or pain au chocolat.

Melbourne's Best Pastry?
I discovered Filou's 10 years ago and have always returned to it. I have not found a patisserie on the East Coast of Au that does better pastry at cafe prices. The savoury spinach tart and the vegetarian croissant are superb. Their chocolate croissant is also worth a mention but the star of the pastry shelf goes to the sour cherry danish. For family or entertaining, try their passionfruit brulee tart.
