Settle into a table outside when the weather is pleasant, or inside by the window if not, and enjoy good honest Italian cuisine. The decor is subtle and the service friendly, so linger over a bottle of wine.

return visit
We came back again recently and it was good to see that the manager has kept their great work going. Figaro has remained at the top of teh list for where to go in Kingston. Great food, great time!

Big disappointment
I was really looking forward to dinning at Figaro but left feeling very disappointed. When seated at our table notice the floor was very dirty and I was reluctant to put my bag on the floor. Service was poor and I felt like I was a bother to them. I was bought the incorrect dish for my main course. (A meat dish) even though I had spoken about the fact of no meat at the time of ordering. Overall very disappointing experience and one I am not willing to repeat any time soon.

Poor Service
We went to Figaro after seeing all these good reviews, and I must say the food was quite nice but the service was terrible.
The waiters were not friendly and took so long to serve us - in both giving us our menus, taking our orders (and then getting an order wrong), and time taken for the meals to come out. The restaurant wasnt even that busy either.
Will not be coming back to Figaro again.

Always dependable, always brilliant!
We have been eating at Figaro for the past four years and always felt welcomed and had an enjoyable dining experience.
The food is authentic and reminds us of our time in Italy. You can't go past the pizza, with fresh ingredients and a perfectly cooked base.
The restauarnt can get a little loud at times, with less than ideal acoustics like most canberra restaurants. Besides from this, the staff are always warm and accomodating, while the food is delizioso!
Good value for money and a good night out.

after all these years!
I'm back in Canberra after a few years away and in refreshing my knowledge of my area, found that Figaro is still going strong. 9 years ago it was an up & coming place which I frequented. I'm thrilled to say that it is at least as good a decade later. I think I recognised the chef as the same. The meal was fantastic and I plan on becoming a regualr once again.

busy, but noisy - still good
Whenevr I come here, it always seems to be busy. The noise can become loud, but at least it seems to be from happy diners. The popularity is well deserved though, as I'm yet to be let down by the staff. The waiteresses and chefs all do a good job in keeping the night running smoothly. And with so much to do, it's amazing at just how well they are still able to do it. I'm always happy with the food and the service I get.

FIGARO
Figaro has excellent, authentic, traditional Italian food. Their skill with simple veal dishes speaks well of their care and attention to the things that matter. The food was of high quality with fresh ingredients. It compares well with Machiavelli in Sydney, but the prices are a lot less. The ambience is very enyoyable. There is ample room between tables, making it easy to converse with your fellow diners. The service was good. The pistachio ice cream is outstanding.

A Charming Night
I had a really charming evening here. The lady who served us made us feel special and recommended some fabulous dishes which I'm sure to order again the next time I go back. I recommend booking; as it was rather busy when I went and was lucky to get a table so quickly.

Great pizza & steak
I took a friend's advice and went here with a big appetite. I started with a pizza to share and then had one of the best steaks I've ever had. The wine list was great too - I found a great range on offer and went for a Barossa one. Fantastic. I'll be sure to book next time as they were so busy.

Average
For all the hype about this place we went and it was quite dull and expensive for what was given. We will be trying another place in the future.

I've been here a dozen times
I've been here before and loved it and the last time was no exception. i stopped in for a quick pizza to take home and with all the great smells in the air, I'm sorry that i couldn't have stayed and tried the calamari which i saw go out. I couldn't resist trying the pizza even before i got home and i nearly fell over. The flavours were so stunning. The etxture of everything complimented everything else. The proscuitto they used was the best I've ever had. I'll be taking all my friends there when we next go out.

A brilliant little find
I went along with friends for an early dinner to beat the evening rush. We were greeted and cared for right from the start and the staff helped make our evening splendid. Not being able to choose from all the temptations on their menu, I asked for a recomendation and had the fillet steak and an Italian red, which were heavenly. To top things off, their hot chocolate is so decadent - it is to die for! I've already booked to return next week.

One of my favourites
I have been to Figaro many times, for dinner with friends as well as early dinners with my two children, aged 2 and 4. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the chef always makes us something for the kids that is not on the menu. Every meal I or anyone dining with me has ordered has always been delicious. I would recommend this restaurant very highly.
