Favela

Inspired by the hedonistic eat-drink-dance venues of cities such as New York and Ibiza, Favela rose from the rubble of a disused building in Potts Point. Favela means 'slum' in Portuguese, but interior designer Anna Dinapoli's decor takes its cues from the more luxurious side of life, with plush white banquettes, mood lighting and candles in tiny cubby-holes running the length of the wall.

Following a recent revamp, this versatile restaurant now offers an all-you-can-eat Brazilian barbecue. For $35, patrons can eat their fill of a wide range of slow-roasted barbecued meats including sirloin, eye fillet, pork and sausages, accompanied by potatoes, rice and feijoada - a black bean stew. Vegetarians aren't neglected, with a $22 menu offering the option of either a capsicum and tomato risotto or fettuccine in a mustard and parsley sauce. If you haven't bust your buttons after all that, a dessert tasting plate could be in order, featuring treats such as sagu (red-wine-infused tapioca pearls) and cocada, a creamy coconut-based dessert.

Fun place
This is a fun place with interesting Brazilian style food. I went there with a few friends for a birthday and it was lots of fun. No Brazilian beers though.
