Famish'd

Famished? That is the question. Famish'd is the answer. This eat-in and takeaway city salad bar reforms the notion that salads are just light meals by instead offering them as generous, interesting and always healthy meals. You can pick from combinations like Thai Chicken or Smashed Potato, or the design-your-own salads with a choice of premium ingredients, dressings and various accompanying crusty breads like organic rye or seeded sourdough.

It's the brainchild of a former corporate lawyer who set out to satisfy fellow city workers' needs for an above-average - and filling - brekkie or lunchtime feed. As well as the salads, Famish'd does coffees, brekkies like thick-cut apricot and date toast, and hearty soups.

Food ok and not cheap but service is corker!
Ducked in for lunch as it's close to work and was warmly greated. Was in the mood for soup and whilst they had it on the menu, the was only one type to choose from. Was charged $7.50 for a watery pumpkin and corn soup. The hero of the dish was the toasted bread that came with. It was delish but it still didn't make up for the disappointing and watery soup. Plus I was a bit shocked at the price as a place round the corner only charges $5.50 for thick, chunky delish soup. The biggest selling point for this place is the service. The staff here are very good and very friendly.

fresh, filling, flavoursome food
Never have I left here disappointed or hungry. The city has been waiting ages for a healthy salad place and they have fulfilled the need brilliantly.

I really love the warm and hearty soups. Also enjoyed the different winter warmers especially the baked potato and the yummy lasagne. Have also had a great toastie here for breakfast.

famish'd is also very reasonable, you don't pay as much as you do at other places where you get half the serve and less than half the taste.

This place is fast becoming my regular lunch date!
