In a street full of restaurants, the Express Thai Noodle Hut attracts a steady stream of people savouring the aroma of freshly cooked noodles. The kitchen understands timing, with classic Thai fare delivered promptly for takeaway or immediate consumption in the no-frills dining area.
The food is nothing groundbreaking, but it has that nutty, sweet, salty and caramel-like quality that enthusiasts of Thai food love. It's also ridiculously good value, well-situated in its northern digs, and open daily.

The pad Thai noodles here will ruin your chances of enjoying it anywhere else. For years I've believed this to be the best in Sydney, and despite trying to find better, nowhere even seems to come close.
