Evoo is one of the classiest members of Darwin's white tablecloth and starched napkin set. The waiters are attentive and, as well as being well-informed of the menu, can assist with wine selection. The decor in the restaurant is simply elegant. With sweeping views over the casino's lawns and Darwin's vast harbour, there's no better spot to watch a stunning Top End sunset as it drops below the landmass of the Cox Peninsula. All the while you can be munching on something from Evoo's delectable menu, such as a chilled yabby and scallop cocktail with cucumber ribbons, and sipping a glass of French Champagne.
While the menu is best described as modern Australian, it has a constantly changing face due to the kitchen's emphasis on seasonality. Along with the delicious a la carte selection, there is a seven-course degustation menu, featuring tiny, delicate portions, each served with a complementary wine. This gastronomic experience is littered with luxurious ingredients, from truffle oil and silky goat's cheese, to duck, barramundi and crab.
