Presumably inspired by the charming delicatessens of food-obsessed Europe, Eurodore is a destination for those with a bug-eyed intensity about food - an admirable quality, we think. The providore specialises in luxe produce, from French cheeses and European wines to products from closer to home, such as Christine Manfield sauces and eco eggs from Green Eggs in Victoria. The restaurant serves as a showcase for all this exquisite produce, offering such dishes as smoked trout rillette with celeriac remoulade; or goat's cheese on toast with sauteed mushrooms and rocket.

what up guys?
As a regular to this once great cafe, somthing isnt right. Many business lunches have been had by my legal firm here. The food has always been great, the friendly service second to none. Last week we noticed the food was not up to scratch, the food was over cooked. We paid and left but how valuable do you rate your customers ? None of the wait staff could even say if there was a change of chef ! Thumbs down guys very dissapointed !

Ignored
After 10mins of no service I went and got my own menu. Still, (15mins now) no service. Waiter continued to service the table next to us. I would normally have left by now, but there had been so many reviews I thought I'd stay to see what the fuss was about. Food was not as great as expected. Coffee was burnt and poached eggs were pretty much boiled and hard. I will not return to be ignored again. I would pay the price if food was excellent, but far from it.

Foodie Heaven
After reading the Age Good Food Guide review I ventured down to see what the fuss was about. And I wasn't disappointed. The service was amazing - surely one of the few restaurants/cafes left where the staff are friendly, warm, professional and knowledgeable. The menu and food was inspired. I had house made, Fish and leek pie with potato puree and tomato and saffron sauce and my husband had Slow cooked pork belly with fennel relish, apple and frisee salad. Neither disappointed. We will be back to try more of the menu (which has a full change every season and dinner menu changes weekly). The environment is relaxed, wine list substantive and interesting and prices more than affordable. Loved it all.
