Conveniently near the Port Arthur historic site, this hip roadside cafe holds many surprises for both Tassie visitors and everyday clientele. As its name suggests, Eucalypt Coffee Art Food is not just about quick meals and driver-revivers. In fact, Eucalypt is a surprisingly hip and modern nosh spot peppered with interesting art and coated with a crisp red-and-white colour scheme. It has indoor tables and cosy lounges, as well as a front alfresco area for breathing in the fresh air.
The menu is filled with just as much interest. Sourcing local produce such as venison, wallaby and quail, the Eucalypt crew cook up gourmet brekkies and lunches, such as the scrambled organic tofu, veggie burger and roast chicken breast panini. Tassie's Oomph coffee and myriad sweet treats complete the picture.
