Embers
Honest submission from a long time Embers regular (at least once a month).
I attended Embers Steakhouse after work one Wednesday evening as I was home alone and didn't feel like microwave dinners. Whenever I'd go to Embers with my work-crew (around 8-15) we'd receive excellent service.
However if you re a small table it would appear to be a different case entirely. On this particular night I walked over to Embers and asked for a table for one. I was seated immediately and offered the wine list.
A good 40 minutes after ordering... my meal arrived. A little slow, but one doesn't rush perfection. However my steak was rare. Very rare. In fact.. too rare. For a steakhouse I was a little in awe as to how they could mess up a steak so badly. However they did.
No worries, they'll fix it.... Right? Wrong! And (apparently a big mistake) I didn't complain enough. I told them my steak was undercooked and paid up. Despite the steak left on my plate, I was charged the full amount. Apparently an uneaten steak is not enough to justify a steak being overcooked.

The best steak in Brisbane
Many claim to have the best steak in Brisbane and often they couple this with snooty service, over-priced produce and very little product knowledge. Embers in Milton is the exception, their steak is served simply and always perfectly. If you want flash views go somewhere else, if you want the best steaks around give them a call.
