Surrounded by nefarious dens of iniquity on all sides, it's a tough location to make work. But with head chef Simon Zalloua at the helm, Embers has given itself more than a fighting chance. Making his way to Oxford Street via Rockpool and Alira, Zalloua brings the full force of his experience to bear, creating a modern menu that flows effortlessly between reinvented Lebanese staples and nods in the direction of both contemporary cuisine and classic French technique.
