An authentic Lebanese dining experience in Perth is hard to come by, but Elie's Tent is definitely the real deal. With an extensive menu full of authentic dishes such as kibbe krass (lamb tenderloin and ground bulgar, deep fried and served with hummus and tabbouleh) and shawarma chicken (marinated chicken grilled on the spit and served with hummus and tabbouleh), this is the kind of place that goes above and beyond the humble kebab (though never fear, kebabs are still on the menu). The interior is eclectically decorated, with diners having the option to eat at a regular table or in the traditional "harem" style, with low seating and cushions for comfort. For those who love a raucous night out, visit Elie's on Friday or Saturday for dinner, when traditional music and belly dancers will keep you entertained.
