Nice surroundings, but the restaurant is average
We were the only people in the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon which made it a little eerie with the period decor and slightly musty aroma. Whilst I found the vegetarian options to be a little dull, the others LOVED their entrees and mains. What let it down for us was the desserts. One was too boring to eat (chocolate sphere), and the other just didn't taste right (mango souffle). The grounds are lovely to walk around, but I wouldn't make the trip for an expensive 3 course meal with disappointing desserts.
