Great night, great restaurant
I got the banquet and it was great value - everything was so interesting to eat! Of course we ordered extra haloumi on the side and I think I ate most of it... Not a restaurant to go to when you're watching your weight. The belly dancer later on was a real hoot - they get people to randomly come up and join it. We all had a great night with some great food.

My little Turkish local
Funny that this lively little eatery is right across the street from my apartment, and the takeaways are so cheap! I've eaten their food countless times, whether a quick takeaway or the occasional dine-in with someone in tow. The food could be absolutely sublime depending on what you order. The only stinker I've encountered was their pastirma - way too salty for my liking. The menu could be more imaginative and should include some unusual, lesser-known regional Turkish dishes other then the many varieties of kebabs, char-grilled meats and pides, but equally as sublime.

It's amazing that the quality and authenticity of their food is always consistent. It may not be the prettiest Turkish restaurant in town (decor is quite ordinary, but the rowdy crowds and the fabulous bellydancer more then makes up for it on weekends), yet seeing as how the first Turkish restaurant in Brisbane is still going strong after 13 years, one can't really go wrong with that.

Dinner for 4
My partner and I took a couple for dinner here and we had the banquet. The entree was a superb array of dips, breads and nibbles whilst the main was primarly chicken,, chops and beef. Our host was very responsive and talkative. I'd definitely eat here again although during the week it can be a little quiet. Not sure what it's like on weekends?

Great service, good food
We had the banquet and there was plenty of good quality, fresh food served the way it should be. The service was terrific and the ambience (we were seated next to the window) was what you'd expect (the yellow tint on the windows was... err.... interesting). All in all, really good value. I imagine this would work well with a large group.

Efes One Review
Had a great time with my group - food was sensational (generous servings, great variety in banquet). Atmosphere was terrific - it was like we were in a Turkish tent overseas. The bellydancer was authentic too. Would recommend to anyone.
