Eden Wheelhouse Restaurant

  • Main Wharf
    Level 1
    253 Imlay St
    Eden 2551 NSW
  • Chef: Matthew Allen

Owner and chef Matthew Allen is a busy man but would not have it any other way. As well as operating casual cafe A Taste of Eden, he also runs this more refined restaurant above it. Its glass interiors offer some superb views of the waterfront, just as its menu offers some of the freshest local seafood around.

South coast seafood
Eden is a small coastal fishing town with a selection of pubs clubs and restaurants to choose from. The population is generally small apart from summer holiday periods when tourists flood in. We choose the wheelhouse for its views of the water (located a the main wharf). We booked at 2.00 that day and we managed to still get a window seat. Staff were friendly from arrival to departure. We ordered the seafood platter which was very well priced. The platter came with the usual selections grilled and fried including the two fish of the day. (one was John dory the other a battered fillet). Scollops were a standout cooked with local chili wine / jelly. Overall we we found the experience enjoyable and would recommend this restaurant.
