Echo on the Marina is a somewhat secret cafe sequestered away in a bushland and waterside paradise on the north shore; despite this, this sunny locale is extremely popular with young families (there's an adjoining beach where the kids go to play), lunching ladies, and anyone else seeking a peaceful escape. Echo starts of simple with breakfast staples like scrambled eggs, French toast, and apple crepes, before diverting onto a more sophisticated lunchtime route with modern-Australian-meets-European meals like slow-poached oxtail, braised lamb shoulder, and duck breast roulade.
