A funky little bar, a Tai Snaith mural on the wall and an open kitchen all serve to make you feel instantly relaxed about Collingwood's latest Thai eatery. In fact, the only thing about Easy Tiger that should set off alarm bells (momentarily) is the view into that open kitchen - of a very white man cooking Thai food. Luckily, that man is Jarrod Hudson, and with well-known Sydney Thai restaurants like Paramount and Oceanic Thai to his name, we can all breathe a collective sigh of relief, safe in the knowledge that he knows exactly what he's doing.
Combine Hudson's refreshing take on Thai cuisine with an eclectic wine list made up mostly of independently owned, single-vineyard Australian drops, and you'll start to see why the name of this place preaches moderation (that, or it refers to a promiscuous feline, we're not sure).
Easy Tiger could very quickly turn into an Achilles heel for many people's overindulgence. So remember the old adage "take it easy, but take it."
