The Coogee streetscape has changed dramatically since Eastern Sea opened back in 1959, but this vintage Chinese eatery has managed to survive the influx of beachside eateries and the other changes to the area. The huge menu is a catalogue of Chinese favourites, from honey chicken to beef in black bean sauce, with a closer inspection revealing a few Thai-style dishes to shake things up.
