The East

While the Toaster at East Circular Quay is a blemish on the face of Sydney, the restaurants below are the squeaky clean fresh skin, and the well-designed East Chinese Restaurant is no exception. The upmarket menu features Chinese-influenced dishes - from Sichuan to Chiu Chow and even a touch of Thai. Popular meals include the duck pancakes rolled with cucumber and hoi sin sauce; and the king prawns in a three sauce hotpot. Be daring when choosing your meals and you'll leave very happy.

Good value & fast service
This is our new pre-concert favourite down at the Quay. With staggering views of the harbour and the added bonus of spying on the passing Opera crowd, this is a terrific place to enjoy very good Chinese cuisine with efficient service. Scallops with sugar snap peas a consistent winner. Generous serves, so arrive hungry. GJ

Quickest service - such a suprise
My partner and I were running late for a show in the Opera House, yet we were starving. We went into this restaurant thinking, "this is going to take a while". Within 7 minutes of us ordering, we got our food. I kid you not!!!
Try the hokkien fried rice and the spicy eggplant, yum! We will go again.
