The undisputed king of dumplings for many Melburnian devotees, Dumpling King offers crowd-pleasing dumplings in multiple variations. The dumplings in chilli soup and Four Seasons dumplings come highly recommended, and the no-frills decor detracts nothing from the authentic dishes.

Dumpling King not what it used to be
Had a terrible experience at Mother's Day lunch. Maybe the kitchen and waiters were run off their feet? The food was simply not what we have previously experienced.
Service was sloppy. On several occasions, staff mixed up orders between tables, then we had to go to the bar to ask for additional cutlery or place additional orders.

I live in East St.Kilda but I am happy to travel all the way to Box Hill just to have a taste of this food. Being vegetarian I cannot comment on the meat dishes but the Shredded Szechuan Tofu is to die for. This place is worth repeated visits... make sure you book though, there's often a queue of hopefuls outside!
