Pretty good
Went on a Friday night for dinner. It was fairly quiet inside but enough atmosphere to make it enjoyable.
We had the Mezze plate for entree and shared between 3 it was a good size. The dips, mmmmmmmmmmmm!
The chicken ballontine was fantastic as was my dining partners lamb shoulder and chicken risotto. We had a side salad and chips to share which we really didn't need as all the servings were quite big.
Didn't manage to fit in dessert but look of the cakes in the cabinet were enough to make my mouth water. I will be going back for those.
The service was pretty good. Not fantastic, but nothing to really complain about.
Just wish they would put their menus up on their website.

nice but not polished
I went here under the advise of a friend who loves the breakfasts here. He said they were big, good flavours, easy service and reasonable priced. We came on a cold morning and were able to be seated straight away and soon were asked about drinks we may want. There were a few other tables to tend to but our coffees were out soon enough and they were very good - as I'd expect if Rich was going to praise them. We both got their big breakfast and a fresh juice. There was a bit of a wait but we didn't mind. The food was initially very good and perfect for cheering up a cold day, though as we got further down the layers of the eggs, bread & spinach, we found that the oil had settled and the bottom layer of spinach was far to oily to enjoy. A minor hiccup, I think we'll still be back. The poor waiter was very busy and could have been helped with more staff, but the wait wasn't too big. I hope they iron out the crinkles - this will be a favourite place to come.

Turned away
Decided to go to Du Jour for dinner as friends had rated the food well. I popped in at 6pm and requested a table for 8 people. The restaurant was empty bar one table of 10 people. We were advised that they could not help us as we had not booked and they only had 2 waitresses and 1 bar man on for the evening and they were expecting other tables later in the evening. I was most surprised. And disappointed at the attitude of the manager towards us. When we asked if we could have 2 tables of 4, that seemed to be acceptable. The rest of the evening was average. The restaurant did not fill up for an hour and even then it was only a couple more tables, yet the service was ordinary. The food was very good although a bit expensive for what it was. Having worked in the hospitality industry myself, I was disappointed at the attitude of the staff.
