As the name implies, this neighbourhood diner specialises in the milder, cream-based curries of northern Indian cooking as opposed to the raw fire and spice of the south. The chicken mumtaz (better known at butter chicken) is one of the specialties definitely worth ordering at least once, as is the chicken tikka, slow-roasted in the iconic clay oven from which this diner takes its name.

A great place for a quiet meal
What a surprise. The food was excellent, the service was very friendly and efficient, prices were great and the servings were generous. The chef made the curry to the level of spiciness we requested. We'll certainly be back.
