Before dismissing this to the kitsch, tourist-only-activity category, this Melbourne institution might surprise you in both its incredible value for money, and entertainment and culinary prowess. If you're a local and still haven't paid Dracula's a visit, then perhaps you're overdue for a fun and light-hearted night out.
These famous dinner shows are a tightly run operation, executed with a kind of gimmicky finesse that anyone with half a sense of humour could appreciate.
The restaurant prepares quality three-course meals, all with an inventively vampire-esque thread; guests can expect such items as the succulent chicken wrapped with bacon and served with rosti potato, fresh seasonal vegetables and hollandaise sauce; or, for a ghoulish dessert, the novel Chocolate Death is made up of a dark chocolate coffin lined with a mix of choc-chilli mousse on raspberry coulis. There's also a graveyard cocktail lounge with an extensive range of devilishly good concoctions at reasonable prices.
