Like the fictional character this cafe is named after, Dr Jekyll has an element of mystery about it, with no signage out the front, but plenty of people in the know. Indeed, co-owners Roy Merrington and Matthew Tuck, both previously of Orange in Windsor and the former Luxe in St Kilda, have created a place many are happy to call their local. It's rather small inside, but there's plenty of seating in the garden courtyard.
Combining friendly service, boutique coffees (Syndicate Fair Trade organic) and carefully chosen gourmet brekkies and lunches (including a brekkie burger, goat's fetta baguette and poached chicken sourdough sanga), this corner cafe has no reason to Hyde.
