This award-winning neighbourhood cafe (it won a Leader Small Business Award in 2010, under new owners) is proving a very popular spot indeed, and though welcoming and cosy, Dolce's popularity may soon prove too much for the intimate space. On any given morning the place is packed full of mothers with young children, friends catching up over breakfast and solo regulars enjoying a morning cuppa with the paper. The corn fritters with accompanying chutney are easily the most popular meal on the breakfast menu, while mid-morning and afternoon you'll catch locals tucking into the homemade spicy apple cake with blueberries and fresh cream.
